Clinics
Antenatal Clinic
This is provided jointly by the visiting consultants and midwives at the Mid Argyll Community Hospital Outpatients Department.
Baby Clinic
The baby clinics are run by the doctors and health visitors for child developmental checks and immunisations and allow an opportunity to discuss
other problems, eg sleeping, feeding and child health worries, with a doctor or health visitor.
A drop-in clinic takes place on Wednesday afternoons in the child health consulting room when immunisations and advice on child health and
development issues are provided by the health visitor.
The health visitors run immunisation clinics. Parents are notified by letter when an immunisation is due and are invited to attend between 2.00
and 4.00pm on the appropriate Wednesday afternoon.
The health visitors also run a weekly group for expectant and postnatal mothers with babies up to one year old which is held on Thursday
afternoon from 1.30 to 3.30pm in the Community Centre. This provides an opportunity to meet with other mothers and babies and for occasional
information sessions on child health and related topics from guest speakers.
