However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone

or

  • face to face at the surgery

We will always try to reasonably accommodate a patient's preferred appointment request.  Please bear in mind that our clinicians will sometimes decide that your health needs require one form of appointment over another and in order to meet the needs of our whole population we will sometimes over-ride your preference.

If you need help with your appointment

We are here to help.  In order for us to facilitate the most appropriate appointment for you please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to speak to or have been advised to speak to
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

Our surgery has specialist equipment and facilities which allow us to treat patients effectively. The surgery is the best place for you to see your doctor.

If you can’t make it to the surgery and need the doctor to visit you at home you can help us schedule your appointment more easily by calling reception on 01546 462001 before 10:00.

We have an excellent team of district nurses, many of whom have additional training in patient assessment and who visit patients who are unable to come to the surgery and then discuss with our GPs if needed. If you call us to request a home visit, we may ask our district nursing colleagues to visit you. If you think that you need a visit from the district nurse specifically please call 01546 703162.
